Abstract
Background and Objective: Professional values of government managers are recognized as one of the fundamental components in promoting organizational efficiency. In Islamic organizations, these values are formed not only based on ethical and professional principles but also on organizational efficiency such as justice, trustworthiness, responsibility, and service to the community. The aim of the present study is to investigate the role of professional values in organizational efficiency with an organizational efficiency approach and analyze the relationships between variables using a structural equation model based on the partial least squares (PLS) method.
Methods: This study was conducted quantitatively and survey-based. The statistical population included employees of selected government and private organizations, and sampling was carried out using a stratified random method. The data collection tool was the standard questionnaire of professional values and organizational efficiency with adjustments based on organizational efficiency.The data were analyzed with SmartPLS software and the validity of the constructs was confirmed through convergent validity and composite reliability.
Findings: The results showed that the professional values of government managers have a positive and significant effect on the efficiency of organizations. The components of organizational justice, honesty, and trustworthiness had the greatest effect on efficiency indicators including productivity, job satisfaction, and organizational cohesion. The PLS model was also able to confirm the relationships between variables with appropriate fit.
Conclusion: The present study indicates that integrating the professional values of government managers with the efficiency of organizations can be used as an effective strategy in improving the efficiency of organizations. Paying attention to these values will not only improve organizational performance but also pave the way for sustainable development and increasing social capital in workplaces
