Context and Purpose: The present study aims to design a career path model for branch managers of Export Bank of Iran in line with human resource strategies.
Methodology: This applied qualitative research was conducted using thematic analysis with an exploratory sequential approach. Data were collected through library research, documentary studies, and field methods. For identifying HR strategies, data were extracted from library and documentary sources, while semi-structured interviews with 16 experts (including university professors, HR specialists, and senior bank executives) were conducted through purposive sampling until theoretical saturation was achieved. Data analysis was performed using coding methods and MAXQDA software. Validity and reliability were ensured through meticulous review of interviews.
Findings: In the open coding phase, 202 codes were identified, which were reduced to 89 axial codes. These codes were categorized into three main themes ("Organizational Loyalty & Internal Development Archetype," "Competency-Based & Professional Commitment Archetype," and "Contract-Based & Project-Centric Career Archetype") and 25 sub-themes.
Conclusion: The findings can serve as a basis for improving HR strategies and developing managerial career paths at Export Bank of Iran.
