:The present study was conducted with the aim of recognizing and understanding the phenomenon of perceived organizational imposters among managers and analyzing its antecedents and consequences. This study examines how these factors affect the performance and mental health of managers, as well as its consequences in the fields of leadership and organizational decision-making.
The research is designed as an applied study in terms of its purpose and as a survey in terms of its data collection method. The research population includes experts who were selected using the snowball sampling method and based on the principle of theoretical adequacy of the sample members. Semi-structured interviews were used to collect data in the qualitative section. The validity and reliability of these tools have been confirmed through theoretical validity, intra-coder reliability, content validity, and test-retest reliability, respectively. Data analysis in the qualitative part was conducted using the coding-based content analysis method and Atlas.ti software, and in the quantitative part, the Delphi-fuzzy method was used to analyze the data.
Research results. Based on these results, the most important antecedent factors that affect the occurrence of organizational imposters are: social anxiety, high-pressure jobs, perfectionist personality, intense job competition, low self-confidence, lack of effective intra-organizational communication, cultural challenges, fear of evaluation, and lack of transparency of rules. On the other hand, the main consequences of this phenomenon include reduced decision-making quality, job burnout, reduced innovation and creativity, decreased self-confidence and self-belief, weakening the spirit of teamwork and group work, reducing the diversity of the organization's capacity for progress, creating organizational pessimism, increasing the illusion of conspiracy, and a tendency to avoid collectivism and isolation.
