Abstract

Foreign investment has played a significant role in the global economy since the late 19th century. Countries at various levels of development recognize the importance of foreign investment and have implemented structured plans to increase its inflow. In Iran, too, efforts to attract more foreign investment have been underway for years, forming a substantial part of the country's financial system. Compared to certain APEC standards, Iran's foreign investment management is strong in some areas, while in others, it requires greater attention and effort. Accordingly, the country's governance system must prioritize enhancing the free flow of information to improve access and transparency. Furthermore, critical decisions must be made to ensure the security of foreign investments, and serious steps should be taken in adopting modern technologies and expanding international cooperation.
